ICC - International Certificate of Competence  
 
ICC - International Certificate of Competence is recommended for Skippers looking to sail or charter a yacht in the Mediterranean especially Spain, France and Italy or other Charter hotspot such as the BVI's and Caribbean.

It is now a requirement for UK Residents or Citizens using a British flagged vessel in Spanish waters to carry onboard a copy of the ICC in preference to the RYA Day Skipper qualification.

For those looking to Charter a yacht the ICC is generally accepted as proof of Competence.

We can help you improve skills using our yachts from our sailing school in Spain or if you prefer, we offer Own Boat Tuition and ICC training as part of our sailing courses. 

During the 2 days your tidal navigation theory, knowledge of the collision regulations and buoyage/pilotage will be tested. On the practical side we cover points of sail, general sail trim, boat handling and Man Overboard drills.

Upon succesful completion an application can be made to the RYA for the ICC licence.

Those of you holding a Day Skipper certificate or above automatically qualify for the ICC and if your an RYA member it's free!

Low season Oct-May (2 days) 275 Euros plus RYA fee (£40)

High season June - September 300 Euros plus RYA fee (£40)

1 day assessment on our boat 225 Euros for Skipper plus 150 Euros per person thereafter RYA licence fees not included.
