Both of our sailing bases have been chosen for their unique locations and watersport facilities. The Mar Menor is a watersport lovers paradise with yachts, dinghies, windsurfers, kite surfers, kayaking, jet ski's and safe swimming areas all in one location. Whilst its big brother the Mediterranean has many snorkelling and dive site's with Islas Hormigas and Mazarron being the most popular. Not to mention miles of golden sandy beaches.
Isla Canela also benefits from some of the finest beaches in Spain, along with all of the above watersports, albeit the Atlantic water is a little cooler for those interested in snorkelling and diving.
Fancy a break from the watersports? Well there's horse riding, mountain and quad biking to mention a few, golf is extremely popular in both locations with several top class courses on our doorstep.
For those seeking culture the cities of Cartagena and Murcia are close to La Manga offering a wealth of history and interesting architecture. So Debbie informs me the shopping’s pretty good too and worth taking a day out for. Whilst Seville and the Portuguese Algarve are close to Isla Canela. For nature lovers, the estuaries around Isla Canela are bustling with amazing birdlife and one of Spains most important green areas, the Doñana National Park is less than an hour away by car.
If you are interested in any of these activities we will gladly organise them for you as part of our Activity Holidays.
La Manga and Isla Canela really do offer something for everyone so why not choose to stay a little longer and explore what these fantastic locations have to offer.
