These special weeks are designed for 'Ladies' by 'Ladies' and run by female Skippers. In our experience Ladies learn more and gain increased confidence when segregated from their male counterparts, who for some reason or another develop a need to assert themselves, take over and issue instructions despite being unclear of how to perform the task themselves.
Unfortunately sailing is a male dominated sport, so we are trying hard to change that and increase the number of female Skippers or Skippettes as they are known at Mar Menor Sea School.
Our Ladies only days are purely for fun whereas the full learn to sail weeks can lead to RYA qualifications, so if you are interested in a girls only sailing holiday this could be just the thing you are looking for.
A yacht full of females with not a single man onboard is a rare sight along the Spanish coast, so you are almost guaranteed a few strange looks and plenty of attention.
