Yacht owners can take advantage of Own Boat Tuition - it makes more sense to send an instructor to you, so that the Skipper and crew fine tune their learning to the vessel they plan to sail on, rather than learning on our boat then having to adapt everything.

You can still gain RYA qualifications such as Competent Crew and Day Skipper with own boat tuition, the perfect way of learning to sail in familiar surroundings on the comfort of your own boat.

From experience most owners just want to concentrate on specific areas such as reefing and sail changes, spinnaker / cruising chute work or mooring practice.

However it is possible to gain RYA practical qualifications along with 1 day ICC assessments providing the vessel is over 28ft and carries basic safety equipment.

Own boat tuition is offered on a daily rate of 150 Euros per day plus expenses or ICC assessments at 190 Euros plus RYA licence fee for the Skipper and 120 Euros per crew thereafter (licence fee not included).
